Returns & Refunds

Last updated 7 August 2026

Two different things can entitle you to money back: the cooling-off right the law gives every online buyer, and our own longer change-of-mind window. The first is stronger. Both are below.

Your 7-day cooling-off right

Because you bought online, s44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 gives you seven days from the day your clubs arrive to cancel the sale for any reason, or no reason, without penalty.

If you use it, you get back the full amount you paid, delivery portion included. We pay it within 30 days of the cancellation. You are responsible only for the direct cost of returning the clubs to us.

Nothing further down this page limits that right. Email info@driversanddivots.co.za within the seven days and say you are cancelling.

Our 14-day change-of-mind window

After the seven days are up we still take unused clubs back until 14 days from delivery, in the original packaging with the plastic still on the face. This is our own policy, offered on top of what the law requires, and it carries one deduction.

We do not hold stock. By the time your clubs reach you we have already paid to get them to you, and that money is gone whether you keep the clubs or not. So on a change of mind in this later window we refund the club price and retain the delivery and handling portion of R1,571 a club.

Message us before sending anything back and we will arrange collection.

Clubs you have hit

A club that has been played is a used club and we cannot sell it as new, so it falls outside both windows above. Check the flex, loft, length and hand on the product page before you order — or run the club selector and ask us. We would rather spend five minutes answering a question than process a return.

Faulty, damaged or not what was described

This is separate from changing your mind, and the deduction above never applies to it.

Anything that arrives damaged in transit or faulty, we replace. Tell us within a reasonable time of delivery and send a photograph if you can.

Beyond that, s56 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe, or not as we described them. In that period the choice between a repair, a replacement or a full refund is yours, not ours, and we carry the cost of getting the club back to us.

A club damaged by ordinary wear, by misuse, or by an alteration someone else made to it is not a defect.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid from. We do not pay refunds in cash or to a third party's account.

Once we have processed it, how quickly the money appears is up to your bank — usually a few working days.

If we cannot supply your order

Everything is ordered in per customer, so occasionally a club we have listed turns out not to be available. If that happens after you have paid, you choose: wait for it, swap it for something else, or take a full refund of that club including its delivery portion. We will not simply hold your money.

This page describes our own terms and summarises the rights South African law already gives you. Where the two differ, the law wins — nothing here removes a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, or POPIA.
